Editorial policy

What is published, and on what authority.

DGF Publishing issues three kinds of work: Editions, which are individual publications devoted to a single property, holding or undertaking; Perspectives, which are news, analysis, practical guides, interviews and institutional papers; and commissioned publishing, which is production undertaken for a named commissioner. Each is governed by the rules below.

Publisher of record

DGF Publishing is the publishing function of DGF & Co Capital Services GmbH. It is not a separate legal entity. Brokerage, advisory and transaction services are provided only by the legal entity expressly identified for the relevant mandate.

DGF Publishing is a publishing activity, not a separate legal entity. The publisher, the commissioner, the author, the specialist reviewer and the legal entity behind a subject are distinct roles and are named separately wherever they apply.

A publication is not a mandate

The existence of a publication does not mean DGF holds a transaction mandate for its subject, and it is not a due-diligence certificate, a valuation, a recommendation or a statement that the subject is available. Where a mandate does exist, it is disclosed in the publication itself.

Editorial method

Every publication is built on the same structure: what is visible, what matters, and what may follow. Verified developments are reported first; significance is then set out as DGF's reading of them; possible directions are framed as scenarios, never as predictions. Reporting, interpretation, scenario and estimate are labelled and are never blended into one another.

Sources and verification

Claims are supported by sources shown with the issuer, the title, the publication date and the date the source was consulted. Sources are entered by editors from primary material. Where automated discovery is used, it only proposes material into a review queue; nothing reaches a page without an editor's decision.

Nothing is republished without the right to do so, no paywall is circumvented, and no news photograph is used without a recorded right of use. Image provenance is recorded for every published image.

Legal, tax and tenancy material

Legal and tax publications carry a status panel: jurisdiction, applicable date, legislative or procedural status, the court or authority, the case reference, the named specialist reviewer and the actual date of review. A proposed measure, an enacted provision, a rule already in force, a judgment, a pending appeal and administrative guidance are distinguished, never merged.

Substantive legal or tax interpretation and actionable practical guides require a recorded specialist review before publication. Straight reporting still requires editorial verification. Evergreen guides carry a review date; where that date passes or the law materially changes, the guide is flagged, updated, withdrawn or archived.

Germany is the initial reference market. International coverage states its jurisdiction. A German rule is never presented as applying elsewhere. Residential tenancy, commercial tenancy and hotel operating arrangements are treated as separate subjects.

A publication is not advice

A general publication does not determine any reader's individual legal, tax, financial or investment position. Individual matters are handled as a separately scoped professional enquiry through the contact page. This release contains no automated lease review, no tax calculation and no personalised investment recommendation.

Commercial relationships and disclosure

Where a publication is commissioned, sponsored or concerns a subject in which DGF or a connected undertaking has an interest, that relationship is stated prominently on the publication itself, not hidden in a tag. A commissioner may approve facts and rights; a commissioner does not direct editorial judgement or approve the interpretation.

Use of artificial intelligence

Automated tools may assist with drafting, structuring and translation. They do not approve their own work, create citations, act as a reviewer, publish an allegation against a named party, or convert private mandate material into a public story. Every published word is the responsibility of a named editor.

Corrections, withdrawal and version history

A substantive change is recorded in the version history with its date and a short note. A factual error is corrected openly rather than silently amended. A publication that can no longer be supported is withdrawn; a publication that is no longer current may be archived. Archiving removes live price, availability and transaction prompts. Archiving never makes restricted material public.

Access and confidentiality

Publications are public, direct, controlled, private or archived. Controlled and private material is released only to a permitted reader and is excluded from the public index, sitemaps, feeds, search and social previews. An unlisted address is a convenience, not a protection, and is never used in place of permission.

Empty is honest

Where approved material does not exist, the page says so. No placeholder article, invented statistic, sample author or test record is presented as published work.
